Amy Macdonald born on 25th Aug., the year 1987 in Bishopbriggs, the Scotland is a Scottish singer and songwriter. Her introductory album, This Is the Life, was introduced on 30th July in the year 2007 and has sold more than 3 million copies. Her 1st single, "Poison Prince", was shown on 7th May the year 2007. Macdonald began playing on stage acoustic gigs at the age of 15. She has performed at music festivals such as Glastonbury, Hyde Park Calling, T in the Park and the V Festival. Macdonald attended Bishop Briggs High School. She is a self made musician, playing her father's guitar after being motivated by the Travis at the T in the Park Festival in the year 2000, where she heard Travis' song "Turn" and wanted to play it by herself.
She began playing in pubs and coffee houses around Glasgow at the age of 15, including the Brunswick Cellars on the Sauchie hall Street. Macdonald put forward a demo CD in response to an advertisement placed in the NME by a new production organization set up by the songwriters called Pete Wilkinson and Sarah Erasmus which was known as Melodramatic Records.In an interview with the Hit Quarters, Wilkinson said that he was "literally aghast" at her songwriting capabilities when he heard Macdonald at first playing the songs 'This is the Life' and 'Mr Rock n Roll'
