He had collaborated with them on the album that had been titled “My Life in the Bush of Ghosts” and had received lots of critical acclaim.

As far as his personal life is concerned Byrne got married to a costume designer named Adelle Lutz in the late eighties… in the year 1987 to be precise. They have a daughter whom they had named Malu Abeni Valentine Byrne. She had been born to them two years after their marriage in the year 1989. Byrne and Lutz went their separate ways four years earlier in the year 2004. At present Byrne is a resident of New York City. In the year 1981, Byrne had collaborated with the popular choreographer named Twyla Tharp.
