David Garrett whose real name is David Bongartz opened his eyes into this world on the 4th of September in the year 1981.he is by profession a German classical violinist and also a recording artist. Most of his upbringing was done in his birth town that is Aachen situated in Germany. His mother had been an America whereas his father was a German. When Garrett was yet only a child, to be precise around four years old, his father had gifted a violin to his older brother.
But it was eventually the little David who had taken keen interest in this instrument and soon after had started learning to play it. In the following year he had taken part in a competition and had emerged as a winner. He secured the first prize. Three years later by the time when he was seven years old he had begun to give weekly public performances. He went on to study violin at the Lubeck Conservatoire. When he was twelve years old he had started to play with the prominent and the famous Polish violinist named Ida Haendel.
David Garrett was born on 4th of September 1981 in Aachen. He is a classical violinist and recording artist of Germany. He has released an album for creating young people’s interest in classical music “Encore”. Encore is his latest release which is made up of arrangements and composition of his own melodies that are with him till now in his life.
He gives the concert classical sonatas, arrangements and compositions with the help of his band which includes keyboard, guitar and drums. David was chosen as an ambassador by the “Montegrappa” firm for the launch of the new pens from the “Tributo ad Antonio Stradivari” collection in 2007( Montegrappa firm’s articles are spread throughout the world by Montblanc). The event will be held in many different venues in which Rome, Ney work, Hong Kong, Berlin and London are included. “Gli Archi di Pallazzo Comunale” collection has offered David Garrett a Stradivarius. In the 9th annual Independent Music Awards, David Garrett was in the judging panel to assist independent musician’s career.
David Garrett was one of the first students to study with Itzhak Perlman. When he was a student of the Juilliard School in New York City he worked as a model to meet his expenses. Several fashion writers have expressed David Garrett as “the David Beckham of the classical scene”.
