Die Zauberflote is known as The Magic Flute in English. Die Zauberflote is an opera which have two acts. The opera was composed in the year 1971 and the name of its composer is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to a libretto by Emanuel Schikaneder. The opera is in the form of a Singspiel. Singspiel is a famous form which consists of both singing and spoken dialogue. The opera was created in the period of the increasing involvement of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with the theatrical troupe of Emanuel Schikaneder. Emanuel Schikaneder�s theatrical troupe had been the resident company at the Theatre auf der Wieden since 1789.

One of the singer and composer of the troupe was a close friend of Amadeus Mozart. The name of that member was Benedikt, Bebedikh Schack had contributed to the compositions of the Troupe that were usually written with the collaborations of Amadeus Mozart. With the collaborative opera Der Stein Der Weisen in the year 1970 increased the participation of Mozart in the Troupe. Die Zauberflote opera is known for its prominent Masonic element. The opera is very impressed with the Enlightenment philosophy and that is why it can also be taken as an allegory advocating enlightened absolutism. In the opera the Queen of the Night is presenting a dangerous form of obscurantism.
