People really appreciated his music and gave him numerous tips and Elton himself made a modest income from his singing. Afterwards he and his mates formed a band named Bluesology which toured different areas and gained recognition. Furthermore he met Ray Williams who was the manager for liberty records. He gave some lyrics to John written by Berney Taupins, John provided the music and Taupins liked it. This lead to a brilliant collaboration called the scarecrow which was one of the first songs these two made.
