Gaelic Storm is a Celtic band whose music features traditional Irish music, Scottish music, and normally tunes in both the Celtic and Celtic rock type. They freshly announced a new album named Cabbage for show this summer by including a free download pre-release song titled "Raised On Black & Tans". Gaelic Storm's starting can be traced back to the 1996, when Patrick Murphy and Steve Wehmeyer joined with Steve Twigger and Uillean piper Brian Walsh to show at O'Brien's Irish Pub and Restaurant in the Santa Monica, California and Murphy was the manager. This led to several pub performances for the other year.
In year 1997, Gaelic Storm performed in the film Titanic as the steerage band, performing "An Irish Party in 3rd Class". This catapulted them into touring, where they were met with extreme success and fame. They have visited throughout the U.S. and Canada, in the United Kingdom (UK), France, and Japan. To this date, Gaelic Storm visits insistently and plays over 125 dates a year. It has also put out 7 albums since its beginning, including the collection album the Special Reserve. The band is famous for its brilliant rendering of traditional Irish music and Scottish traditional music, and because of its albums which constantly top the Billboard world music charts.
