Joshua David Bell born on Dec., 9th, the year 1967 is an American Grammy Award-winning violinist. Joshua Bell made his Carnegie Hall start in the year 1985 with the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra. He has from then performed with almost all of the worlds main orchestras and conductors. Also the standard concerto repertoire, Bell has presented new works ~ Nicholas Maws violin concerto is dedicated to him, the recording of which gave Bell a Grammy and won the world premiere of the work in the year 1993.
He completed the solo part on John Coriglianos Oscar-winning soundtrack for the film The Red Violin and was also included in the Ladies in Lavender. Bell also appeared in the movie named Music of the Heart, which was a story about the power of music, with other famous violinists. Bells instrument is a 3 hundred year-old Stradivarius violin known as the Gibson ex Huberman, which was created in the year 1713 in between what is known as Antonio Stradivaris "Golden Era." This violin had been stolen 2 times from the former owner, Bronisław Huberman; the last time the thief confessed to the act on his deathbed. Bell had the instrument in custody and played the violin, and its owner at that time jokingly said to Bell the violin could be his for 4 million dollars.
