The Los Angeles Philharmonic often abridged as LA Phil, LAP, or LAPO is an American orchestra that is based in the venue of Los Angeles, California and the United States. It has various seasons that begin in the month of October to the month of June at the venue of the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Apart from this summer seasons are also conducted at the Hollywood Bowl all through the month of July to the month of September. Initially it was believed that Sergei Rachmaninoff was the right choice for being the music director for this orchestra, but since Rachmaninoff had at that time recently relocated to New York and did not have any desire to make yet another move.
