Sheryl Suzanne Crow opened her eyes into this world on the 11th of February in the year 1962. He is an American by origin and a singer-songwriter and a musical entertainer by profession. Her music shows heavy influences of rock, country, pop, and folk. Several of her songs also fall in the blues genre. She is popular amongst both the audience and the critics and her songs have gained mainstream success. She is the winner of nine Grammy Awards and is also a popular political activist.
She has also had the honor of performing with the Rolling Stones and has sung several songs in collaboration with the popular Mick Jagger. Amongst others she also has had the chance to perform with the popular Michael Jackson and Kid Rock to name a few. Her song recordings have been used for several movies and television shows. Some of the more popular ones are the soundtracks of Cars, Point Break, Erin Brockovich, The X-Files and the Britney starrer Crossroads to name a few. Her birth took place in Kennett that is located in Missouri. Her parents’ names are Burnice and Wendell. Wendell was also kind of associated with the music field owing to the trumpet playing, and otherwise was a lawyer whereas Bernice Crow was a piano teacher. She has three siblings, two of whom are elder sisters named Kathy and Karen and a younger brother named Steve. She studied at the Kennett High School that is located in Kennett in Missouri. There she was a majorette and other than that she was also an all-State track athlete. Later she became a member of the Pep Club.
After her graduation for sometime she also worked as a music teacher at an elementary school. This made her quite busy and she only had time to sing in the band during the weekends. After some time she gained an introduction to Jay Oliver, who was both a musician and a producer. He helped her a lot and hired her as the voice behind his jingles. After the success of the first single many back-to-back jingles followed. It was later quoted in a program that she had claimed to make almost $40,000 on one commercial alone. She was a member of the Michael Jackson tour that was titled “BAD” and took place during 1987-1989. She also lent her vocals to a live duet where she joined Michael in the performance of the song "I Just Cant Stop Loving You." Other than that she also sang a song for the Steven Bochco drama named the “Cop Rock” in the year 1990.
