Van Morrisons full name is George Ivan Morrison OBE but he is more commonly known as Van Morrison. He opened his eyes into this world on the 31st of August in the year 1945 in Belfast that is located in Northern Ireland. He has a Grammy Award under his belt. By profession he is not only a vocalist and a lyricist but has also tried his hands at writing and poetry and been very successful at it. Other than that he is also much expert in playing several musical instruments such as guitars, harmonicas, keyboards and drums to name a few.
Morisson is more commonly known as "Van the Man" amongst his loyal and diehard fans. His first taste of success had been when he had been a member of the Northern Irish band named Them. Not only was he their lead vocalist but also wrote several songs for them, many of which had been hits. One such song had been the rock classic hit named "Gloria" which had been released in the year 1964. In the next few years Morrison had departed from this band and had embarked on a solo career and had been much successful.
