John Edward Szeles who opened his eyes into this world on the 9th of September in the year 1958 in Detroit in Michigan) is more popularly known by his stage name that is �The Amazing Johnathan�. Jonathan is American by origin and is a stand-up comedian and also a magician. This particular act is composed of several magic tricks that are performed to a comedy effect, and which when combined together take the form of not only gory special effects but also several special simulated injuries. The Amazing Jonathan as people have come to know him is also not only friends with, but also a fellow performer with the very renowned Criss Angel. In fact he has been a helping hand to Angel in the performance of a variety of illusions, many of which were also included in the guest appearances that were marked on the �Mind freak�.

Johnathan had given his very first appearance in The eighth Annual Young Comedians Show that had been conducted back in the year 1983 and had at a later stage in his life come to become the host of a syndicated game show named �Ruckus� that had been aired for a very short time in the year 1991. Later he had also made appearances on several talk shows that had been during the time frame between the mid eighties to the mid 2000�s. But amongst al his appearances and performances to date his most credited performance is that of an actor in the Holiday Episode of �The Weird Al Show� (in which he had played the part of Uncle Johnathan).

In the year 2005 there had been a documentary that had been titled �The Aristocrats�, this particular documentary had been his last major performance until the 18th of November in the year 2006 when he had gotten the chance to have a one-hour special on the Comedy Central that had been entitled as the "Wrong on Every Level" and had been his fourth special with the respective network. As for the Las Vegas Review-Journals they have been very lavish in their praise for the Amazing Johnathan that had listed him as being one of the "Best of Las Vegas". In fact they had also included him in the list of the same name and had also awarded him with the "Best Comedian of the Year" award for the year 2002. He managed another nomination in the following year but unfortunately failed to win it. Until very recently, the Amazing Johnathan had been much recognized as the "Best Local Villain" by a Las Vegas Weekly Reader's Choice Awards in the years 2004 and 2005. Not only that but he also bagged the International Magic Award for the "Best Comedy Magician" twice. Although with the passage of time he did add new material to his acts but his natural impulsive and bizarre humor was still visible in his acts that had been the reason for his fame and popularity earlier on.
