Hansel and Gretel is a German Origin fairy tale originated by the Brothers Grimm. Hansel and Gratel, the story is based on a young brother and sister who steps into a house a house of candy and cake which belongs to a witch. An opera H�nsel und Gretel was made in 1893 by Engelbert Humperdinck followed by a stop-motion animated feature film based on the opera.

The story is about young brother and a sister who are children of a wood cutter. Their step mother compels her husband to abandon his kids in the forest as they were poor and could not afford to keep the children. The children tried to track their way by dropping pebbles on their way but failed to keep the track. Ultimately they reach the house of a child devouring witch. The house was made of cakes and candies to attract the children. The witch catches the kids and puts Hansel in a cage and asks Gratel to work for her and feed Hansel until he gets fat enough to be her prey. Hansel manages to find a bone and showed every time when the witch comes to check him and gets disappointed every time.

Unable to resist she gets frustrated and decides to eat him any way. Gratel plots the witch by pushing her in the oven closing the door behind her as she was aware of her intensions of eating them. The children manage to reach their home and reunites with their father and the story shows up in happy ending. br>
The story of Hansel and Gretel has many versions with a little bit of character changing. In one of its version it follows a young brother and his sister. They are wondering in the forest and find a house which is made up of chocolate and candies. They started eating candies from the house and a child-devouring witch comes out. The witch offer them more candies and welcomes them in her house. The kids are very pleased by the witch. They think that she is a very generous lady. The witch makes the boy eat more and more candy to make the boy healthy so that she can eat him. She put the girl on work, and after sometime they get aware that the lady is wicked and very hardly make it out of there.
