Human Nature is an Australian popular vocal group which was originally founded as a doo-wop band in the year 1989 while the present members were at school together in Sydney.
So far, the band has had seventeen Top 40 hits and 5 Top 10 hits in Australia since the year 1996 when their first album named ‘Telling Everybody’ was introduced. Human Nature's three follow-up albums all went to be multi-platinum in Australia. The band has also gone through some chart success internationally.
Brothers Andrew and Michael Tierney connected with Toby Allen and Phil Burton in the year 1989 whereas at Hurlstone Agricultural High School representing their school in a mixed regional schools concert at the Bankstown Town Hall. The quartet was known as The 4 Trax, a name that they kept till they started their recording career. The band showed "Earth Angel" which was a 1950s hit for The Penguins.
Before being in the Human Nature, Toby Allen worked as a perfume salesman while he was studying to become an accountant, Andrew Tierney was studying to be a physical therapist; Phil Burton was studying to become a music teacher and once stacked beer for a living. The youngest member of the band named Michael Tierney was studying for his higher School Certificate in a high school.
