The new musical named Legally Blonde has been based on the movie of the same name in 2001. The cast starred Reese Witherspoon as Elle Woods around which the whole story revolves.
In the start of the movie Elle depicts a dumb sorority girl who does not have any dreams but to graduate from college and get married to her Harvard Law School boyfriend named Warner Huntington the third played by Matthew Davis. But as the story progresses Elle is dumped and this is where she devises a plan to get into the Harvard Law school where picked by a senior who stops her and encourages her when she is all ready to give up. She ends up solving a major case with the assistance of a female professor.
Following her graduation a couple of years later she ends up at the top of her class and manages to land a job at a reputed law firm in Boston. Other than that she is proposed by Emmett whereas her ex-boyfriend Warner ends up having no girlfriend and no job offers to show.
The popular business school Harvard University has been used as the background setting, and most of the film has been filmed there, whereas in the book instead of Harvard Stanford Law School has been used as the background setting. According to planning the movie was supposed to take place at the University of Chicago Law School but owing to the scene that involved a professor placing a hand on Elle's leg, the movie was disapproved by the administration.
