He opened his eyes into this world on the 1st of October in the year 1949. He is Dutch and is violinist and a conductor. He is also a renowned composer. His most popular contributions to the field of music industry have been his creation of an international revival in the waltz music. Further he is also famous for his several top selling DVD’s and CD recordings with his "Johann Strauss Orchestra". He opened his eyes in Maastricht that is situated in the Netherlands. His early violin education started at the tender age of five. His father was a conductor and thus his musical oriented family had several positive influences on him in regards to his music.
From a very young age he also became fascinated with the musical instrument, which is the orchestra. He gained formal education about the violin at the Conservatoire Royal that is situated in the Conservatorium Maastricht. He had the honor of studying amongst some of the finest teachers namely Jo Juda and Herman Krebbers. During the time period in 1974 to 1977, he recorded his attendance at the Music Academy in Brussels and then went on to study with Andr Gertler.
He was awarded with the “Premier Prix” at the educational institute. Here at the university he also performed the Gold and the Silver waltz that was conducted by Franz Lehr. He received a massive response from the audience and this response impressed him so much that he decided to pursue this form of waltz form. He was the creator of the Maastricht Salon Orchestra and gave several performances as a violinist in sync with the Limburg Symphony Orchestra. Later in the late eighties he also founded the Johann Strauss Orchestra and his very own production company.
After that there was no looking back and he has given scores of melodramatic stage performances with a star demeanor which is many times also linked with the revitalization of the waltz music genre. There are many others who have been known to criticize him for his wild and uncontrolled populism.
Initially there were a dozen members that performed with the orchestra whereas today the number has climbed to almost between forty and fifty. When it had toured Europe for the very first time, there was an emergence of a new interest in the waltz music. This revival took place mostly in The Netherlands and was later followed by the recording of the “Second Waltz”.
As far as his private life is concerned he is married and his wife’s name is Marjorie. He has two offspring’s named Marc and Pierre who are very fluent in Dutch. Other than that he himself and his family are well versed in German, English, French, Italian and also Spanish. He has also worked in coordination with his brother named Jean Philippe, for many years before he started his very own production company.
