Robert Clarke Seger is an American rock musician. He is also a song writer. He is known by his stage name Bob Seger. In 1976 he achieved national fame. In 1974, Silver Bullet Band was formed by Bob Seger. In 1975, he released the album “Beautiful Loser”. In 1976 Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band had a bigger commercial breakthrough with the album “Live Bullet”. In 1980, his album Against the Wind was released and it became his first album which reached at no#1 on Billboard chart. In 1986, he wrote and recorded “living inside my heart”.
In 2001 his song “Old Time Rock and Roll” was named one of the songs of the century. In 2001 and 2002 he won the prestigious Port Huron-to-Mackinac race. In 2004 he was inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His songs have been covered by many singers including Metallica and Thin Lizzy. The second single from Bob Seger System was “Ramblin Gamblin Man”. In 2006, after 11 years an album was released entitled “Face the Promise”. It sold more than 400,000 copies. This album has sold over 1.2 million copies to date. He has announced the dates for his upcoming tour.
