This is a popular band of American origin. They belong to the genre of country music. The band members are only two named Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush. Jennifer is the lead vocalist whereas Kristian in addition to giving background vocals is also the mandolin player and the acoustic guitarist. The group was shaped back in the year 2003 by Kristen, who later in the year 2006 departed from this group for the purpose of concentrating on her songwriting abilities. This was when Jennifer was included in the group as a lead vocalist.
Earlier than their establishment all the members of the respective group had been the member of several rock groups of the folk genre. Say for instance Bush had originally been the member of a duo named “Billy Pilgrim”, that had even recorded for a record that had been produced by the Atlantic Records in the early nineties. Anyways the band “sugarland’ were signed by the Mercury Nashville Records in the year 2004. In the same year they released their debut single by the name of "Baby Girl". This was their first release from their debut album which later went on to become a multi-platinum album. Its name was “Twice the Speed of Life”, and it managed to include three songs that made it to the top chart singles. The names of these songs are "Something More", "Just Might ", and "Down in Mississippi". All three were beautifully composed.

After Hall left the group, the band started working on their second album, recorded, and released it in the year 2006. The name of this album is “Enjoy the Ride” and indeed it lives up to its name. It is a much enjoyable album and even sales wise did extremely well. It was equally accepted and liked by the audience and the critics and was certified as multi-platinum much like its antecedent. What’s more special about this album, that it gave the band not one but it’s first two Number Ones.
The names of these songs were "Want To" and "Settlin". In addition two other songs managed to make it to the Top Tens, the names of these songs were "Everyday America" and "Stay." They also managed to earn the honor of collaborating with the legendary singer Jon Bon Jovi in the same year for a single in his upcoming album. This single was "Who Says You Cant Go Home" which was also a chart topper. The following year the Sugarland bagged the “Country Music Associations” award for being the duo of the year.
