Zac Brown Band is an American country music band located in the Atlanta, Georgia. The arrangement is composed of Zac Brown, (the lead vocals, guitar), Jimmy De Martini (fiddle, vocals), John Driskell Hopkins (the bass guitar, vocals), Coy Bowles (guitar, keyboardist), Chris Fryar (drums) and the Clay Cook (the guitar, keyboards, mandolin, steel guitar and vocalist). The band has visited throughout the United States (US), also a slot on the 2009 and 2010 Bonnaroo Music Festival.
They have also recorded 4 studio albums, and registered 5 singles on the Billboard country charts in the # Ones "Chicken Fried", "Toes", "Highway 20 Ride", the number 2 "Whatever It Is", and "Free". Zac Brown was brought up in Cumming, Georgia, the 11th of 12 children. He studied to play the classical guitar at the age of 7. Being a teenager he played solo gigs in local locations, doing country and pop cover songs.
Zac went to the University of West Georgia in the year 1998, where he was a member of the Zeta Kappa chapter of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity. During the college days, he began a band and played dates in local restaurants with the band, and solo as well, to earn money for the school fee. During the time, the band recorded a CD to sell at their gigs, but broke up in the recording sessions.
