The Buffalo Bills are the professional American football team which is located in the metropolitan area of Buffalo in New York. Buffalo Bills play all their home games in the suburb of Orchard Park, and since the year 2008 they have played one home game every season in Toronto. The team is also the members of the Eastern Division of the American Football Conference i-e AFC in the National Football League. The Bills began aggressive play since the year 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League and got attached the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL merger.
The Bills won two successive American Football League titles in the year 1964 and again in 1965, but the club did not manage to win a league championship since the merger. Buffalo has the distinction of being the only team to win four uninterrupted American Football Conference Championships -- and the only team ever to play in four successive Super Bowl games, although they lost all four. Since the NFL's expansion to 32 teams in the year 2002 the Bills are the only AFC team in which no expansion is made, to not make the playoffs.
The Bills were named in the result of the winning entry in a name the team contest, which named the team after the AAFC Buffalo Bills, a previously known football franchise from the All-America Football Conference that merged with the Cleveland Browns in the year 1950.

Former Buffalo Bills starter Trent Edwards joined the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday, giving the team another option at quarterback.
